About The Position

The Information Technology Programmer will work alongside other members of the IT team; implementing, supporting and maintaining technologies at The Lake Louise Ski Resort. Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-starter – able to prioritize, take ownership of their work, and deal with stressful situations
  • Experience programming as part of a development team and working to documented specifications
  • Development experience in PHP, Java HTML/CSS, Javascript/jQuery
  • Familiar with common Linux packages (Apache, Nginx) and tools (bash, cron)
  • Working experience with containerization (Docker) and version-control (Git)
  • Working experience with RESTful APIs

Nice To Haves

  • An asset if knowledgeable in Angular, React, or any other modern coding frameworks
  • Experience working with Postman and Swagger an asset
  • Well-versed in current IT trends; interested in developing, implementing, and supporting emerging technologies

Responsibilities

  • Front-end development and maintenance of UI
  • Back-end engineering of system logic
  • Development and maintenance of business APIs and web pages
  • Migration and refactoring of legacy code to new tech platforms
  • Integration with third-party systems
  • Regular use of documentation and revision control
  • Installations and re-installations, upgrades and updates
