About The Position

Hibu is hiring an IT Inventory Coordinator to manage the physical flow of computer equipment and accessories in and out of inventory. The role involves packing and shipping equipment to new employees, receiving and inspecting returned equipment, and maintaining accurate inventory and asset records in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable with hands-on work and daily shipping deadlines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when logging equipment and preparing shipments.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet daily shipping deadlines.
• Basic familiarity with computer hardware and accessories, including laptops, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout a warehouse environment for extended periods.
• Comfort using basic packing and shipping equipment, such as tape guns, label printers, and hand trucks.

Nice To Haves

• 6+ months of experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, IT asset management, or inventory control.
• Experience with a CMDB or asset management system.
• Comfort using computers and databases for data entry.

Responsibilities

• Pack computers and accessories for shipment to new employees, using appropriate packing materials to ensure safe delivery.
• Verify that required equipment and accessories are included in each outgoing shipment before it ships.
• Prepare and stage outgoing shipments for pickup by 3:00 PM daily.
• Receive and unpack equipment returned by departing or upgrading employees.
• Physically examine returned equipment, identify damage or repair needs, and route eligible items for warranty service.
• Log incoming and outgoing equipment accurately and promptly in the CMDB, keeping asset records clean and audit-ready.
• Maintain accurate, real-time counts of on-hand inventory and flag replacement or reorder needs before stock runs low.
• Assist with other inventory management duties as needed.
