About The Position

Great Hearts is seeking a temporary hourly IT Intern to perform various tasks and/or projects within the Information Technology Department. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic IT department, collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and an understanding of the communication processes that support IT projects and services. The intern will receive mentorship and gain IT and General Business experiences. The internship includes coaching moments, daily discussions and reviews, and opportunities to "pause" and provide insight into daily operations.

Requirements

  • Driver’s license and ability to drive to work at the Phoenix Home Office or any of the Great Hearts Schools in AZ
  • A great sense of wonder and desire to learn
  • Strong work ethic
  • Team Player
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • IT – experience is not a requirement

Responsibilities

  • Pull vendor invoices, audit contractual pricing, and review equipment inventory.
  • Track spending to budget by school and prepare for Headmaster budget presentations.
  • Analyze End of Life equipment / End of Sale equipment.
  • Forecast remaining expenses and work with IT leadership on solutions to ensure schools stay within budget.
  • Analyze IT tickets, KPIs, and student testing issues, and prepare summary reports.
  • Analyze IT processes and suggest improvements.
  • Assist with student testing setup and provide on-site support at schools.
  • Assist with daily surveys during testing and report on survey results.
  • Interact with technology vendors as required.
  • Classify and organize items in the Cicero Home Office IDF room.
  • Manage inventory accountability.
  • Assist with the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including creating process flows and quality checking checklists.
  • Assist the Great Hearts Project Management Office as requested.
  • Ensure all documentation is collected in audit libraries at the conclusion of RFPs.
  • Assist the AZ IT Service Delivery Manager in preparing for Listening Tours with Headmasters and Key School Leadership.
  • Summarize findings from Listening Tours in a formal, analyzable format.
  • Assist in brainstorming and planning processes for Listening Tours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
