Responsibilities
- Assist with monitoring network performance, availability, and security using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Support troubleshooting of wired and wireless network connectivity issues across hospital systems.
- Assist in maintaining network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Help track and document network incidents, service requests, and resolutions.
- Support the installation, configuration, and testing of network hardware and software.
- Assist with network upgrades, patching, and infrastructure maintenance activities.
- Participate in routine network health checks and system audits.
- Maintain documentation related to network topology, device configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Support development of internal knowledge base resources for IT teams.
- Assist in documenting network standards and operational procedures.
- Support monitoring of network security alerts and assist with escalation procedures when necessary.
- Assist with implementation of security best practices aligned with healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA).
- Participate in vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking under supervision.
- Work alongside network engineers and IT professionals to gain hands-on exposure to enterprise networking environments.
- Participate in team meetings, technical training sessions, and project planning discussions.
- Support cross-functional collaboration with Service Desk, Infrastructure, and Clinical Systems teams.
