About The Position

Brose is seeking a year-round, part-time IT Intern to work on-site in Auburn Hills, Michigan, while continuing academic studies. The intern will support AWS cloud infrastructure operations and contribute to AI solutions, automation, data processing, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role includes monitoring systems and cloud environments, assisting with troubleshooting and incident resolution, supporting cloud security and governance activities, and maintaining technical documentation. The intern will also explore ways to apply Generative AI, Machine Learning, and data analytics to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Available for a year-round, part-time internship on-site in Auburn Hills, Michigan, while continuing academic studies.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, preferably AWS, and familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as Python.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, cloud infrastructure, automation, and emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Effective communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or coursework involving Python, SQL, Git, PowerShell, DevOps, or CI/CD.
• Exposure to data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI or Amazon QuickSight.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of AWS cloud infrastructure, including system performance, availability, and cost optimization.
• Assist with developing and implementing AI solutions, automation initiatives, and process improvements using Python, PowerShell, and other technologies.
• Collaborate with IT teams on cloud integrations, data processing, DevOps activities, and continuous improvement projects.
• Monitor cloud environments and assist with incident resolution.
• Maintain technical documentation related to system operations and performance.
• Support cloud security practices, identity and access management, compliance documentation, and IT governance activities.
• Explore opportunities to use Generative AI, Machine Learning, and data analytics to improve operational efficiency.
