About The Position
Dematic is seeking an IT Intern to learn the various areas of Information Technology within the Dematic Organization at our corporate office in Grand Rapids, MI.
Requirements
- Must be able to work part-time through the school year and full time during the summer
- Must be able to work in our Grand Rapids office daily
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and have 2 years completed towards a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Networking, System Administration, Cybersecurity, Software Development, or related field of study
- Must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of laptops and other computing devices for new employees.
- Collaborate with the procurement department to maintain an organized inventory of IT equipment and peripherals.
- Assist in the procurement process, including researching and recommending hardware and software solutions.
- Support IT projects by participating in planning, implementation, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members and end-users to address and resolve technical concerns.
- Document and update standard operating procedures for site support and procurement tasks.
