About The Position

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT support within a dynamic and inclusive environment. The IT Intern will be responsible for providing Level 1 technical support, assisting with hardware and software deployment, managing user accounts, and contributing to IT projects. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree in a related field who are eager to learn and develop their IT skills.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (pursuing or achieved)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
  • Proven customer service orientation combined with the ability to work well with others
  • Quick, analytical thinker
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts
  • Ability to learn and master new platforms quickly

Responsibilities

  • Respond to service requests via ticketing system, email, or phone in a timely manner
  • Provide Level 1 support for: Windows and macOS devices, Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), Basic network connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, VPN)
  • Assist with hardware setup and deployment: Laptops, monitors, peripherals, mobile devices
  • Perform account-related tasks: Password resets, User account provisioning/deprovisioning
  • Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in the ITSM/knowledge base
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff
  • Support onboarding/offboarding processes for employees
  • Assist with asset tracking and inventory management
  • Participate in IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives
