About The Position

This role is primarily frontend focused. You'll spend most of your time building user-facing features, crafting clean interfaces, and caring about how things look and feel. If you have an eye for design and enjoy making software that people actually enjoy using, this is a good fit. There's some full stack work involved too, including SQL-backed data and cloud infrastructure, but the emphasis is on building things that are polished and visually well-crafted.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university degree program.
  • Meaningful exposure to most of the listed technologies and genuine curiosity about the rest.
  • Familiarity in TypeScript.
  • An eye for design and polish.
  • Familiarity with Python for scripting, data processing, or backend development.
  • Comfort with SQL joins, filters, and aggregations.
  • Basic familiarity with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teammates.
  • Ability to participate in code reviews, standups, and documentation.
  • Problem-solving skills including debugging.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Figma, especially for translating mockups into polished interfaces.
  • An interest in environmental or sustainability topics.

Responsibilities

  • Build and improve user-facing features using a modern frontend framework (React, Vue, Angular, or similar) with familiarity in TypeScript.
  • Work on supporting services and data pipelines using Python for scripting, data processing, or backend development.
  • Write and optimize queries to support data retrieval, reporting, and analysis. Comfort with joins, filters, and aggregations is expected.
  • Work within a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, or GCP) to help deploy and maintain cloud-based services.
  • Work with engineers and cross-functional teammates on technical requirements and tradeoffs.
  • Participate in code reviews, standups, and documentation.
  • Read an error, form a hypothesis, and debug your way to an answer.
