About The Position

This internship position is designed for individuals currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. The intern will gain hands-on experience in IT support, focusing on helpdesk operations and infrastructure maintenance. Key responsibilities include ticket resolution, network preventative maintenance, hardware and software deployment, system imaging, alert monitoring, inventory management, vendor coordination for hardware issues, and assisting with security vulnerability remediation. The role requires strong communication skills, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Familiarity with Windows server operating systems.
  • Must work well in both team and individualized tasks.
  • Must possess initiative and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Must possess the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the IT Support Application, resolves as many tickets as possible, and assigns remaining tickets to second level support.
  • Provides network preventative maintenance services to ensure network integrity.
  • Assists with acquisition and deployment of hardware, software, and services.
  • Desktop/laptop system imaging and deployment.
  • Monitor and review system generated alerts.
  • Perform and maintain inventories.
  • Work with vendors to resolve failed hardware incidents.
  • Assist with remediation of security vulnerabilities in the environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
