About The Position

We are seeking an IT Instructional Design Specialist to develop and deliver engaging training programs. This role involves translating business requirements into functional training outputs, creating various training materials, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of systems, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in relevant technical tools.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Business Analysis, translating business requirements into functional outputs.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Instructional Design / Training Development, developing training materials (ILT, VILT, eLearning).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Systems Knowledge (Public Benefits or Similar), understanding of system-based workflows.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Communication & Documentation Skills, strong writing and documentation abilities.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Stakeholder Collaboration, experience working with SMEs and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Proficiency in Absorb or similar Learning Management Systems.
• Proficiency in eLearning tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise preferred).

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of experience with SNAP and Cash Assistance programs.
• Familiarity with HRA systems (SEAMS, WMS, POS).
• Experience with training QA processes and content validation.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles.
• Experience working in a government or public sector environment.
• Familiarity with tools such as Smartsheet, Canva, Vyond.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into functional outputs.
• Develop training materials including Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), and eLearning.
• Understand system-based workflows, particularly in Public Benefits or similar domains.
• Utilize strong writing and documentation abilities for training content.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and cross-functional teams.
• Apply technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Absorb or similar Learning Management Systems, and eLearning tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise preferred).
