About The Position

Zer04 Consulting is recruiting an IT professional for a confidential employer to support core infrastructure and take a hands-on role in cybersecurity operations. The position combines Microsoft cloud administration, network and server support, complex technical troubleshooting, and security monitoring. It is hybrid in the Dayton, Ohio metropolitan area and pays $65,000–$75,000 annually. The role requires the ability to work in the United States without sponsorship and is not open to C2C candidates.

The specialist will administer Microsoft cloud and security environments, maintain servers, endpoints, cloud services, and onsite network infrastructure, and resolve escalated technical issues. The role also supports security monitoring and incident response, system deployments and upgrades, documentation, and security and compliance activities. Coordination of technical support for local and remote users is required, with on-call support and domestic travel as needed.

Requirements

• Approximately 3–5 years of practical experience across infrastructure support, network administration, and cloud systems.
• Hands-on administration of Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Purview.
• Experience configuring firewalls, VPNs, and network switches, and supporting Active Directory and Windows Server.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and network issues while supporting end users effectively.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without employment-visa sponsorship; C2C arrangements are not accepted.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CMMC/NIST SP 800-171 implementation.
• CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification.
• Experience with SIEM platforms.
• Experience with AWS.

Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, Defender, and Purview environments.
• Maintain Windows servers, Active Directory, endpoints, cloud services, and onsite network infrastructure.
• Configure and support firewalls, VPN connections, and network switching.
• Resolve escalated infrastructure and end-user issues.
• Monitor security tools, investigate alerts, assist with incident response, and apply patches and security improvements.
• Support system deployments, upgrades, technical documentation, and security and compliance activities.
• Coordinate technical support for local and remote users.
• Participate in on-call support and domestic travel as needed.
