About The Position

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace. This role involves performing technical planning across multiple technology domains, creating and maintaining documentation, integrating manufacturing technology solutions into the cybersecurity strategy, and developing infrastructure and hardware lifecycle plans. The specialist will assess requirements, deliver solutions aligned with production business needs, and collaborate with stakeholders to determine performance levels and risks. Key responsibilities include creating continuous improvement plans, managing technology portfolios for operational readiness, identifying and testing automated solutions, supporting continuous improvement on the production floor, and delivering line-side technology solutions. The role also ensures monitoring and visualization capabilities are available, maintains knowledge of industry trends, and acts as a subject matter expert for production system architecture. The specialist will lead early project phases, including scoping, requirements gathering, and solution development, ensuring scalability and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field preferred, and 5 years relevant experience in manufacturing facilities.
  • Success in delivering complex technology solutions under a tight timeline.
  • Good project management skills with a keen ability to break down complex tasks into smaller reportable components to maintain tracking visibility.
  • Ability to prepare, organize, and present technical decision papers to upper management.
  • Broad knowledge, both logical (configuration) and physical (compute), of various technologies domains.
  • Good working knowledge of ITIL Service Design, Transition, and Operations.
  • Experience working across manufacturing business domains.
  • Deep understanding of system integration technologies between hardware technologies and software solutions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in large hardware integration projects and modern IT architecture concepts.
  • Proven track record of deploying and moving solutions to operational readiness in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Experience working with monitoring solutions to provide transparency to business and supporting other responsible stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, then develop improved solutions to mitigate or eliminate issue recurrence.
  • Ability to translate high-level needs into architecture requirements, then communicating these requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Innovative mindset with ability to think outside the box and deliver, when necessary, temporary solutions to meet emergency demands.
  • Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with others efficiently and effectively in a dynamic greenfield environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical planning across multiple technology domains (compute, storage, client, network, physical cable management, production asset management, and infrastructure components) throughout the factory.
  • Create and maintain Technology Architecture documentation for transparency.
  • Integrate manufacturing technology solutions into Scout cybersecurity strategy.
  • Create Infrastructure and Hardware Lifecycle Plans.
  • Assess requirements and deliver solutions in accordance with Production business requirements.
  • Work with production stakeholders to determine the expected level of performance and risks with new processes and systems.
  • Create, with the business area, continuous improvement plans addressing Mean Time to Recovery objectives.
  • Project management and track assigned technology portfolio necessary to ensure operational readiness for factory operations.
  • Identify, prototype, and test automated solutions which support business process maturity or improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement processes on the production floor.
  • Identify Automated Solutions which promote self-healing and self-service technologies to support business process maturity or improvement.
  • Deliver line side technology solutions in coordination with the planning department and automation expert responsible for integration of core production systems to Plant Production Processes.
  • Works with the application specialist and enterprise architecture team to identify infrastructure components impacting key performance indicators.
  • Ensure monitoring and visualization capabilities are made available to support teams to aid in efficient recovery if an issue is encountered.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices related to manufacturing systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) production system architecture, providing technical expertise and guidance to Plant stakeholders.
  • Lead during the early phases of a project/initiative, responsible for scoping the project, gathering requirements, collaboration with domain architects, and leading the teams to put together a scalable and sustainable solution.
