About The Position

WEC Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an IT Infrastructure Consultant - Virtual Desktop and Application Delivery in their Green Bay, Wisconsin and Pewaukee, Wisconsin locations. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the office. This position is part of a job family (Associate IT Infrastructure Consultant, IT Infrastructure Consultant, and Senior IT Infrastructure Consultant) where experience will be the determining factor. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • This position requires unescorted access to certain critical cyber assets which would require applicants to satisfy all Company and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard 004 security requirements, which includes a background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of Citrix administration experience
  • Understanding of the components that make up a computing network, e.g. DNS, ADFS, etc.
  • Understanding of the protocols that are used to interact between infrastructure components, e.g. TCP/IP, LDAP, etc.
  • Server virtualization experience.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, interpersonal and decision making skills and customer focus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day support for the virtual desktop and application hosting environment, including a shared 24x7 on-call rotation.
  • Responsible for project work, product upgrades, and development and maintenance of virtual desktop and application standards and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance and other issues as they occur.
  • Collaborate with business partners in solution design.
  • Proactively monitor the virtual desktop and application hosting environment.
  • Provide assistance to application support teams’ initiatives that includes design, build, and maintenance, connectivity and performance troubleshooting, disaster recovery planning, and more.
