About The Position

SystImmune is seeking a dedicated IT Help desk Technician to join its IT team. This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals passionate about supporting scientific innovation through exceptional IT support. The technician will work closely with experienced IT engineers who maintain a seamless technological infrastructure while gaining valuable hands-on experience in advanced IT projects. This position requires full-time onsite work at SystImmune's Princeton, NJ office.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with service/help desk systems
  • Hands-on experience supporting modern operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, and Android)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx, Zoom, and strong capability to learn new software and systems.
  • Familiarity with concepts of virtualized environments, cloud computing, and various network technologies including DNS, DHCP, and IP addressing.
  • Familiarity with Cisco managed switches/routers, Palo Alto Firewalls, and basic cabling
  • Ability to handle multiple requests/projects simultaneously and prioritize.
  • Ability to demonstrate clear & confident communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to deal with problems and technical issues in a friendly, calm, and reassuring manner.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues, ensuring smooth daily operations across the organization.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and networking issues, including PCs, printers, mobile devices, and laboratory equipment.
  • Provide IT support for remote employees, ensuring seamless technical operations across locations.
  • Assist with system setups, configurations, and software installations.
  • Configure and deploy workstations and lab equipment while adhering to security protocols.
  • Work with IT/AV-related Software/Hardware.
  • Provision/decommission equipment and accounts when employees leave or join the company.
  • Collaborate with senior IT engineers on infrastructure upgrades and server maintenance.
  • Escalate issues to appropriate teams according to internal procedures and provide documentation of any actions taken.
