About The Position

The IT Help Desk Intern will assist the IT Department, under the direction of the Chief of Technology, to assist with help desk related tasks and data clean-up. S/he should be highly efficient, organized, and approachable. The IT Help Desk Intern should have knowledge of various IT functions and administrative responsibilities and open to learning new processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Networking, or related field.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with common business applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

  • Individual must be able to read and interpret detailed technical information and communicate this information to technical and non-technical associates.
  • Able to work under pressure with strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual IT support to staff in multiple office locations.
  • Assist with the deployment and troubleshooting of equipment, software, and other systems.
  • Assist with policies and procedure implementation for network security programs including but not limited to user ID’s password requirements, anti-virus programs, and ongoing internal monitoring.
  • Performs periodic reviews to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist in training and/or coordination of training as it relates to hardware and software.
  • Assist with the monitoring of network systems and communicates alerts or issues to third party IT support partners.
  • Interacts with management and staff to resolve problems, answer questions, and develop more efficient methods of processing data or integrating systems.
  • Assist with network and application password unlocks and resets.
  • Assist with troubleshooting printers and other hardware peripherals.
  • Organize and maintain IT resources.
  • Lend IT support in areas such as cybersecurity, programming, analytics, and data center management.
  • Data cleanup.
  • Assist with implementation of system roll-out and updates and instructing employees on use.
