IT Hardware Support Technician
About The Position
Fairfax Radiology Centers is seeking a dependable, service-driven IT Hardware Support Technician to join their Information Technology team. This hands-on role will support the technology backbone that keeps imaging centers, radiologists, and staff running smoothly. The ideal candidate will enjoy troubleshooting, working with hardware, and making a real impact behind the scenes in healthcare. As an IT Hardware Support Technician, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware systems across Fairfax Radiology Centers’ locations. You will work closely with the IT Hardware Manager and support clinical and administrative teams who rely on secure, high-performing technology.
Requirements
- 2+ years of IT experience, including hardware support and inventory management
- A+ Certification preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong working knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and system functions
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and required auto insurance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and working under desks or in server rooms
- High school diploma required
- Full access to systems containing Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Strict compliance with HIPAA and all applicable federal and state regulations

Responsibilities
- Install and configure new employee workstations, PACS technologist stations, radiologist reading stations, and servers
- Build and configure PCs to meet specific system requirements
- Repair, replace, and maintain IT hardware at existing locations
- Install and repair network cabling as needed
- Manage and maintain IT hardware inventory (monitors, keyboards, cables, toners, peripherals, etc.)
- Coordinate with outside vendors for cabling and hardware projects and report progress to IT leadership
- Answer IT support calls and assist staff, radiologists, and referring physicians with hardware-related issues
- Escalate issues appropriately to IT Management
- Travel to FRC sites and safely transport and secure IT equipment
