About The Position

Tekwissen Group is a workforce management provider. This Client is a holding company that primarily operates through Gas and Electric Company subsidiary. The subsidiary provides natural gas and electric service to residential and business clients. It also offers building and construction programs, energy efficiency financing, electric vehicle charge networks, wireless solutions, battery storage systems, etc. This Client is an AA/EEO employer that actively pursues and hires a diverse workforce. This role involves Geospatial Support for TIMP Risk. The specialist will digitize, maintain, update, and QC GIS databases. They will perform ortho photointerpretation and change detection analysis using LiDAR and/or Ortho derived footprints. The role includes attributing structure footprint types and determining occupancy information using client and open-source data sources. Quality control on structure data and providing QA recommendations for process improvement are key. Reconciling and posting edits to production databases and resolving conflicts are also part of the responsibilities. The specialist will provide process improvement recommendations for workflows related to structure identification, change detection, and Class Location/HCA/MCA data preparation. Additionally, they will provide process flow documentation and user aids for new or modified processes, and recommendations and workflow diagrams for performing change detection workflows and building footprint reviews in Esri ArcGIS Online or Portal (AGOL).

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of GIS Analyst experience utilizing the principles and practices of GIS is required.
  • Good understanding in data management in a relational database.
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) scripting language to retrieve data from relational database management systems in MS SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with ArcObjects/VBA/Python scripting and programming.
  • Considerable knowledge and experience with the core ESRI GIS software products, specifically ArcGIS Desktop, Arc/Info, ArcSDE, and relational databases within MS SQL Server.
  • Experience with ArcGIS online (AGOL).
  • Experience performing ortho photointerpretation and change detection analysis using LiDAR and/or Ortho derived footprints.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with High Consequence (HCA), Moderate Consequence (MCA), and Class Location classification is desired.
  • Experience working with Gas Pipeline Utilities, RISK Management, and High Consequence (HCA), Moderate Consequence (MCA), and Class Location classification desired.
  • Knowledge of multi-faceted disciplines which contribute to the implementation of the GIS application.
  • Some experience and exposure in GIS application development utilizing (asp.net, C#, Microsoft Silverlight, Adobe Flex).

Responsibilities
