About The Position

The IT Financial Management (ITFM) Analyst is responsible for the daily financial oversight and optimization of IT spending. This role bridges the gap between IT operations and corporate finance, ensuring all technology investments are tracked, forecasted, and reported accurately. The successful candidate will drive cost transparency through showback/chargeback models, manage vendor contracts, and support cloud cost governance (FinOps) to ensure IT spend aligns with business growth and M&A activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or IT.
  • 3–5 years in IT financial management, IT procurement, or a related financial operations role.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, financial modeling, VLOOKUPs).
  • Solid understanding of SaaS agreements, maintenance contracts, and MSAs.
  • Experience with ITSM or Asset Management platforms (Freshservice, ServiceNow, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to document and present financial analysis to leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Azure cost management or FinOps principles.
  • Experience with Power BI or SQL for financial dashboarding.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks or Technology Business Management (TBM) models.
  • Background in construction, industrial services, or energy sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with IT leadership and Finance to develop and track the annual IT OpEx and CapEx budgets.
  • Conduct monthly financial reviews to identify overruns, trends, and savings opportunities.
  • Build TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) models to evaluate new technology initiatives and cloud migration scenarios.
  • Maintain and refine IT chargeback/showback models to allocate costs to business units based on actual consumption.
  • Produce regular reports for business unit leaders to provide visibility into their department’s IT footprint.
  • Monitor Azure cloud spend, ensuring proper tagging compliance and identifying anomalies or optimization opportunities.
  • Track SaaS subscription usage and renewal timelines to eliminate "shelfware" and consolidate redundant licenses.
  • Maintain a centralized database of IT contracts, tracking expirations, auto-renewals, and financial obligations.
  • Proactively manage the renewal pipeline to support renegotiations and competitive sourcing.
  • Validate vendor invoices against contractual terms and resolve billing disputes/discrepancies.
  • Partner with the Procurement team to coordinate IT contracts and software licenses across the organization.
  • Conduct regular seat/license usage analysis to optimize software spend, identify underutilized licenses, and ensure compliance with vendor agreements.
  • Partner with IT Asset Management (ITAM) to reconcile financial records with physical inventory in Freshservice.
  • Support financial due diligence for acquisitions by identifying contract redundancies and projecting integration costs.
