About The Position

The IT Field Technician will provide technical assistance for computer equipment, peripherals, and other technical equipment. This role supports Macintosh, Windows, iOS, iPads, Cisco IP Phones, and other technical systems. The technician will manage OS X and Windows configurations, deploy applications, and install, troubleshoot, and maintain operating systems and other software, including updating software as needed. This position requires maintaining records of computers and jobs completed, working with and supporting diverse groups such as students, teachers, and other staff, and configuring and deploying new or replacement computers for faculty, staff, and labs. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ year degree in computer related field or combination of experience in IT.
  • Practical working knowledge of computer related field or combination of experience in IT.
  • Experience with OS X and/or Windows and configuration.
  • Experience with Networking and Wireless.
  • Practical working knowledge of computers, operating systems, hardware, peripherals, networking, and software.
  • Thorough background and training in modern technologies.
  • Training and experience in computer/software troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all staff.
  • Ability to follow through on projects with timely completion.
  • Attention to detail and ability to be part of a close IT team.

Responsibilities
