Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, or field operations, ideally within a retail technology environment.
  • Post-secondary education in IT, telecommunications, or a related field
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Ability to travel and provide after-hours support as required.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, connectivity, POS systems, payment terminals, and related devices.
  • Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, wireless networks, firewalls, and switches.
  • Experience supporting Windows, macOS, and iOS environments, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
  • Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and relationship-building skills in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on IT field support for Avenue Living’s private equity companies across corporate and field locations in Canada and the U.S.
  • Troubleshoot and support critical technology, including POS systems, payment terminals, printers, scanners, mobile devices, peripherals, and network infrastructure.
  • Respond to business-critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Support new deployments, including hardware installation, network setup, configuration, testing, and go-live readiness.
  • Partner with stakeholders, vendors, and contractors while maintaining documentation and contributing to process improvements.
