Requirements

5–8 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, or field operations, ideally within a retail technology environment.
Post-secondary education in IT, telecommunications, or a related field
Valid driver’s license and passport
Ability to travel and provide after-hours support as required.
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, connectivity, POS systems, payment terminals, and related devices.
Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, wireless networks, firewalls, and switches.
Experience supporting Windows, macOS, and iOS environments, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and relationship-building skills in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on IT field support for Avenue Living’s private equity companies across corporate and field locations in Canada and the U.S.
Troubleshoot and support critical technology, including POS systems, payment terminals, printers, scanners, mobile devices, peripherals, and network infrastructure.
Respond to business-critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
Support new deployments, including hardware installation, network setup, configuration, testing, and go-live readiness.
Partner with stakeholders, vendors, and contractors while maintaining documentation and contributing to process improvements.
