About The Position

The IT ERP Functional Analyst, Expert – SAP Ariba is a functional subject matter expert responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, integrating, enhancing, and supporting SAP Ariba solutions. The role focuses on Ariba Buying & Invoicing, Contract Management, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance, Supplier Risk Management, and Sourcing, working with SAP ERP applications that support Supply Chain, Finance, and Work Management. The analyst translates complex business requirements into scalable solutions, promotes a Fit-to-Standard approach, and works with business, functional, technical, architecture, and vendor teams to deliver integrated end-to-end solutions. The role leads functional work through the solution lifecycle, from requirements and design through testing, deployment, stabilization, and production support, and provides functional guidance and knowledge transfer to project teams, support organizations, and business users. This is a hybrid position, working from a remote office and Oakland, California, one to three days per week, or more depending on business needs or company requirements. The stated Bay Area salary range is $128,000 to $218,000, with the expected range between the minimum and midpoint. The role is also eligible for PG&E discretionary incentive compensation programs.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a job-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Seven years of experience in Ariba module implementation.
Experience in IT Project Methodology.
Experience in SAP integrations.
Experience in data analysis.

Utility experience.
SAP certifications.

Responsibilities

Serve as the SAP Ariba functional expert for complex initiatives, enhancements, integrations, and production support.
Analyze complex end-to-end business processes and identify opportunities to improve or simplify them using SAP Ariba and SAP standard capabilities.
Lead solution design and configuration for Ariba Buying & Invoicing, Contract Management, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance, Supplier Risk Management, Strategic Sourcing, and SAP ECC and S/4HANA integrations.
Translate business requirements into functional designs, system configurations, process flows, functional specifications, and test scenarios.
Independently analyze and design solutions for highly complex projects with minimal guidance.
Design and support integrations between Ariba and SAP ERP, including integrations supporting Supply Chain, Finance, and Work Management processes.
Lead functional activities across requirements, design, configuration, testing, UAT, deployment, stabilization, and production support.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architecture teams, technical analysts, developers, vendors, and implementation partners to resolve production issues and deliver end-to-end solutions.
Evaluate solution alternatives and recommend effective approaches for complex business requirements.
Provide functional leadership in diagnosing and resolving complex application and integration issues.
Support continuous improvement of procurement, sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and invoicing processes.
Develop and maintain functional documentation, solution designs, process flows, test plans, test scripts, and support documentation.
Provide functional guidance and knowledge transfer to project teams, support organizations, and business users.
Support SOX internal and external audit requests as needed.
