About The Position

We’re looking for a(n) IT Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a talented team within TJX’s Global Finance Technology Organization, where you'll play a pivotal role in a transformative, multi-year modernization journey impacting more than 60 finance applications across our global business. In this high-impact leadership position, you'll drive engineering excellence, champion DevSecOps and agile best practices, and help shape innovative cloud-based solutions that enable smarter financial decision-making and support the company’s continued growth. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent engineering skillset, training, or technical work experience
  • Extensive experience working within the solution delivery domain
  • Experience as a technical lead on large full lifecycle implementations of SaaS and on-prem applications
  • Experience in agile methodology
  • Technical leader with business facing experience, taking ideas from conception to implementation
  • Deep knowledge of ERP systems and their implementations
  • Experience with source code control and continuous integration tools
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Finance applications such as Oracle EBS, Vertex, ReconNet, C2FO, OneSource, OneStream, IBM Planning Analytics, Itamlink, Lucernex, or other key financial applications
  • Knowledge of Java, .NET Framework, ERP applications
  • Knowledge of middleware such as Dell Boomi, MuleSoft
  • Cloud experience (Azure, AWS)
  • Experience with source control management (e.g. Git) and Continuous Integration Tools (e.g. Jenkins)

Responsibilities

  • Direct people management responsibility for engineers at varying level of seniority
  • Coaches, leads, and develops engineering talent
  • Represents the product team as a member of Engineering Community of Practice
  • Partners with stakeholders to drive technical solutions that meet business needs
  • Ensures mechanisms for technical oversight are in place
  • Ensures best engineering practices are followed/adopted for operational excellence
  • Partners with stakeholders to ensure roadmaps & strategies align to architectural standards
  • Contributes to high level architecture to drive engineering & operational excellence
  • Accountable for product health and delivering on engineering operational targets
  • First point of contact for strategic requests from a technology perspective
  • Acts as an escalation point for issues related to delivery of technical components
