IT Engineer
About The Position
Design, deploy, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network devices, and data centers. Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. Ensure network security and implement security policies to protect against threats and unauthorized access. Administer and maintain operating systems, such as Windows or Linux, and associated software. Implement backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard data and ensure business continuity. Manage cloud infrastructure and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, to support the organization's needs. Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and scalability. Collaborate with the security team to implement and enforce security best practices. Stay updated on emerging threats and technologies to proactively address security vulnerabilities. Provide technical support and guidance to junior IT staff and end users. Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as GDPR and ISO. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and one year of experience in IT, including infrastructure management and network administration.
- Proficiency in networking, system administration, and cloud technologies.
- Functional knowledge of ISO 27000 or NIST information security management principles.
- Knowledge of Cisco firewall/VPN equipment (such as Adaptive Security Appliance).
- Expert knowledge of IP services, including IPv4, VPN, IPv6, multicast, QoS, SNMP, VoIP, and VTC.
- Experience with Email Gateway or IPS/IDS systems.
- Experience with the evaluation and planning, design, or operational support of security systems and architectures.
- Experience with Unix, RHEL OS, Windows Enterprise AD architecture, and VMware virtualization.
- Fluency in Mandarin
