About The Position

The Information Technology Engineer, Applications supports the Firm’s enterprise technology environment by helping ensure key business applications operate effectively and work together seamlessly. This role contributes to a reliable and efficient technology experience that enables attorneys and business professionals to serve clients and achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting and administering enterprise applications in a corporate, legal, or professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server, and enterprise application environments, including experience supporting both front-end user experiences and the back-end technologies that enable business-critical systems.
  • Experience with application databases, scripting, and enterprise technologies, including SQL, PowerShell, Microsoft 365, endpoint security solutions, Microsoft Intune, software deployment tools, and configuration management platforms.
  • Working knowledge of application administration, software deployment, configuration management, endpoint security, and troubleshooting within Windows-based environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and deliver effective solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to understand and balance both business and technology objectives while delivering exceptional user experience.
  • Proven ability to lead by example and work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and Firm leadership in a service-oriented environment. Demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of experience supporting enterprise applications in a law firm or legal technology environment preferred; experience in a professional services or similarly complex business environment is also highly valued.
  • Familiarity with the operational, security, and business requirements of legal technology environments is a plus.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE or comparable Microsoft technology certifications) preferred.
  • iManage Cloud Engineer or related iManage certifications preferred.
  • Other relevant certifications related to enterprise applications, systems administration, database technologies, or cloud platforms are valued.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary technical resource for the Firm's core business applications, including Aderant Billing and Time, Interaction CRM, iManage Work, and iManage Records Management (IRM).
  • Ensure supported applications remain secure, reliable, and aligned with business and operational requirements.
  • Administer application configuration, administration, access, and support activities across production and test environments.
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, Client Practice Development, Records, and other business teams to support critical business processes and maximize the value of Firm technology investments.
  • Deliver advanced application support, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate resolution efforts with internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted technology partner by providing guidance and support that promotes effective and efficient use of supported applications.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support application upgrades, enhancements, testing, deployments, and maintenance activities to ensure system stability and business continuity.
  • Collaborate with Application Engineers and other IT teams to implement configuration changes, deploy application clients, and support new functionality across the Firm.
  • Maintain and support integrations between enterprise applications and related technology platforms.
  • Administer iManage Work and iManage Records Management, including document management, records management, access controls, ethical walls, and information security requirements.
  • Oversee application security and governance processes to protect Firm and client data while supporting business needs.
  • Coordinate document migration, import/export, and information management initiatives as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and software vendors to address issues, coordinate upgrades, and support ongoing application improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with application providers, ensuring the Firm remains informed of product enhancements, best practices, and support resources.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, software enhancements, and industry trends to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and user experience.
  • Contribute application expertise to technology projects, software implementations, and strategic initiatives that support the Firm's operational and client service objectives.
  • Participate in incident response, operational support, and other IT initiatives as needed to maintain critical business services.
