About The Position

SPIROL is a global manufacturer seeking a driven and service-oriented IT Director with experience developing and implementing strategic plans to join their team in Danielson, CT. This role is 100% on-site. The IT Director will oversee all technology operations, evaluate them against objectives, and ensure compliance with global and governmental regulations related to security and privacy. They will collaborate with executive leadership to optimize information technology use, designing and implementing programs for organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The role involves providing technical leadership, working with functional councils and subject matter experts to deliver digital solutions that enhance operations and global competitiveness. Additionally, the IT Director will direct the delivery of networks and disaster recovery systems, ensuring business continuity protocols are in place, and oversee the operational elements of IT systems, implementing corrective actions with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
  • Manufacturing environment experience required (Automotive or Aerospace preferred).
  • 10+ years' managing an IT department.
  • Demonstrated experience driving and implementing 5-year plans and roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of an organization, communicating effectively (verbal / written).
  • Ability to travel to all SPIROL facilities globally.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all technology operations and evaluate those operations according to established objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all global and governmental regulations as they relate to security and privacy.
  • Work collaboratively with executive leadership to optimize the use of information technology.
  • Design and implement programs that drive effectiveness and efficiency throughout the organization.
  • Provide technical leadership and work closely with functional councils and subject matter experts to deliver solutions in the digital space.
  • Direct the effective delivery of networks and disaster recovery systems and processes.
  • Ensure business continuity protocols are in place to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Oversee the operational elements of SPIROL's information technology systems.
  • Ensure appropriate systemic corrective actions are implemented when required with dedication to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
