About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Automation to lead enterprise-wide Revenue and Sales automation initiatives across a large, highly integrated B2B SaaS platform operating at global scale. This role owns the strategy, architecture, delivery, and operational excellence of automation across mission-critical revenue workflows—including Lead-to-Cash (L2C), Quote-to-Cash (Q2C), billing, compliance-sensitive handoffs, and downstream financial systems. You will lead a centralized automation function that leverages n8n and Workato as primary orchestration platforms, ensuring that automation is deterministic, auditable, scalable, and revenue-safe. This role partners deeply with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal, Product, and Engineering and serves as the executive owner of automation outcomes tied directly to revenue integrity and business growth.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience across systems, automation, or integration platforms
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles owning enterprise-scale automation or platform teams
  • Deep hands-on and architectural experience with: n8n, Workato
  • Proven ownership of Revenue and Sales systems automation
  • Strong background in B2B SaaS revenue models, including: Subscriptions, Usage-based pricing, Multi-entity and multi-jurisdiction operations
  • Experience orchestrating systems at scale across CRM, billing, ERP, and finance platforms
  • Strong executive communication and cross-functional leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in highly regulated, compliance-driven SaaS environments
  • Prior ownership of Quote-to-Cash or Revenue Operations platforms
  • Familiarity with tax, invoicing, or transaction-classification systems
  • Experience scaling automation platforms for high-volume, global transactions

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the enterprise automation strategy for Revenue and Sales systems
  • Establish standards, governance, and best practices for automation using n8n and Workato
  • Ensure automation aligns with revenue accuracy, financial controls, audit requirements, and scalability expectations
  • Drive automation maturity from tactical workflows to platform-level orchestration
  • Own automation across end-to-end revenue workflows: Lead → Opportunity → Quote → Order → Contract → Billing → Revenue Recognition → Renewal
  • Ensure seamless orchestration across systems such as: CRM (Sales Cloud, CPQ, Service platforms), Billing and invoicing platforms, ERP and finance systems, Compliance, classification, and transaction services
  • Partner with RevOps and Finance leaders to improve: Revenue predictability, Quote and billing accuracy, Cycle time reduction, Scalability across geographies and regulatory environments
  • Lead architectural decisions around: Event-driven and API-based automation, Synchronous vs asynchronous workflows, Error handling, retries, idempotency, and observability
  • Oversee integrations across CRM, CPQ, billing, ERP, and adjacent platforms
  • Ensure automation solutions are resilient, monitorable, and production-grade
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing automation organization including: Automation engineers, Business Systems Analysts, Platform specialists
  • Own intake, prioritization, and roadmap planning for automation initiatives
  • Establish delivery excellence across discovery, build, UAT, release, and post-production support
  • Implement automation governance frameworks: Change management, Versioning and release controls, Auditability and traceability
  • Ensure revenue-impacting automations meet internal controls and external compliance requirements
  • Partner with Security, Legal, and Finance on risk assessments and mitigation strategies
  • Drive production stability, incident response, and continuous improvement

Benefits

  • Salary range of $180,000 to $200,000
