About The Position

This opportunity is for an IT Desktop Support Technician role with a TEKsystems client, suitable for individuals with some experience, an IT degree, or those looking to advance their IT support careers. It's a chance to gain experience with a local enterprise company and grow within the IT field. The position is on the first shift and is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Requirements

  • Previous Helpdesk or Desktop Support or PC Technician experience is preferred.
  • CompTIA Certifications are desirable for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications.
  • Swap out laptops/desktops and deploy Windows 10/11.
  • Re-image machines from Windows 10 to Windows 11.
  • Assist users with logged IT-related incidents when called upon.
  • Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes, aiming to restore service as soon as possible, and escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.
  • Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service desk system.
  • Install and configure new IT equipment.
  • Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware.
  • Resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners.
  • Maintain a first-class level of customer service, ensuring customers are treated efficiently and appropriately.
