About The Position

The IT Cybersecurity & Support Intern will support the IT department’s daily operations with a focus on documentation, infrastructure support, cybersecurity monitoring assistance, and compliance readiness activities. This junior-level internship is designed for students seeking hands-on experience in enterprise IT environments, cybersecurity fundamentals, and structured compliance frameworks such as CMMC Level 2.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (junior-level preferred).
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, Windows OS, networking fundamentals, and cybersecurity concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Nice To Haves

• Prior IT support or internship experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, or ticketing systems.
• Exposure to NIST, CMMC, or other compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, movement, removal, and setup of IT equipment.
• Support installation, configuration, testing, and upgrade of software applications.
• Provide basic IT support to end users under supervision.
• Document existing IT policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Create and update network and facilities drawings and diagrams.
• Support cybersecurity alert monitoring and incident documentation.
• Assist with CMMC Level 2 compliance documentation and evidence collection.
• Perform other IT-related duties as assigned
