We are currently seeking a knowledgeable IT database and Cyber Security Intern to support our Englewood, CO Office management, staff, and remote project users.

Requirements

  • Using SQL, VBA, for Access, SharePoint, and Prolog in overall backend database mgmt.
  • Ability and eagerness to understand cyber security requirements and translate into implementation steps.
  • Strong writing skills to document processes, data dictionaries.
  • Patience and good communication skills with end-users of varying skill sets learning new software and transitioning domains.
  • Ability to work as a team with onsite/off-site IT staff.
  • Position requires in-office daily participation.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • US Dual Citizenship is not allowed.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in Cyber Security planning and implementation.
  • Patient, articulate communicator with peers and end-users.
  • Reading, writing skills for documentation in IT plans, procedures, data dictionaries.
  • Proficient with High level coding such as Python, VBA, HTML, SQL.
  • Experience with complex databases such as Prolog, Kahua, creating GUIs with Access.
  • Ability to read government security requirements and interpret potential implementation.
  • Ability to research and present potential solutions for emerging issues.

Responsibilities

  • Support Cyber Security/ITPM with security requirements and document reviews.
  • Assist writing or reviewing sections of IT plans, procedures, and database dictionaries.
  • Create user interfaces, streamline existing databases in MS Access and backend outdated Prolog DB instance.
  • Assist with Kahua permission group/account changes.
  • May assist with reimaging tasks during staff transitioning to new domains and other migration actions.
  • Check IT documents, suggesting IT solutions to emerging issues.
  • May also assist during spill investigations, participate in audits and other types of corrective action tasks.
  • Participate and contribute during team discussions, researching solutions relating to cyber risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Cyber security duties include data destruction of electronic and physical client data per contract requirements.
  • Selected Candidate will be guided and mentored in desktop support, IT management, and cyber security support.
