The IT Customer Service Technician will provide end-user support, including ticket response, resolution, and escalation for applications and SharePoint. This role involves responding to inquiries from computer users, assisting in resolving IT problems, and diagnosing computer hardware and software issues. The technician will respond to telephone calls and utilize the automated service desk to assist customers, diagnose the nature of problems, and guide customers through problem-solving steps. They will provide technical guidance on the utilization of computer hardware and software, including installation, operation, and troubleshooting, and must be proficient in the software and hardware used by the government, readily providing guidance and resolving issues. Additionally, the role includes providing technical assistance support services such as receiving, logging, routing, resolving trouble calls, and follow-up reporting. The technician will operate and provide technical assistance on various computer equipment, including desktops, laptops, portable computers, high-speed printers, scanners, plotters, printers, mobile devices, and other specialized computer equipment, as well as operate and assist with Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and meeting equipment. Other duties may be assigned to support overall IT operations and team goals in support of the mission.
