About The Position

The co-op student will be working on job assignments related to their information technology or engineering education. These increasingly challenging assignments will provide foremost an effective learning assignment and then a sound intellectual and/or financial return for the PCC organization.

Requirements

Knowledge of computer hardware
Basic knowledge of computer networking
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Good writing skills and interpersonal skills
Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
Minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
US Person Status required

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, VB 6.0, C#, or VB.Net is a plus
Strong analytical skills; possess the ability to work through technical issues.

Responsibilities

Apply principles learned in school to hands-on situations, such as program development for PCC use.
Accomplish performance goals and receive progressive responsibility throughout the co-op experience.
Identify and fix computer and network problems.
Attend a weekly departmental meeting.
Take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
Participate on project teams for some assigned projects.
Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
Participate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
Work with network and server equipment.
Expand responsibilities into computer programming or controls, based on interest.
