About The Position

The Bioanalytics Systems & Technologies Group is seeking an IT Co-op student to assist with day-to-day information technology operations and projects that improve internal workflows and system management processes. This position will support the group’s IT needs including installing, updating, maintaining, and troubleshooting software used on PCs, workstations, and servers. Supported operating systems include Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux. The co-op will assist with supporting common software applications, troubleshooting workstation and network issues, and maintaining system documentation. The student will also contribute to projects focused on improving group workflows, including creating documentation tools, developing internal guides, and assisting with vulnerability tracking and patch management coordination. This position requires the ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and communicate effectively with staff to support technical needs.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college co-op program pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Basic experience supporting PCs and workstations
  • Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and/or Linux operating systems
  • Experience with common software such as Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
