This hands-on network engineering role provides vision, strategy, functionality, and technology solutions for building and maintaining network platforms supporting public and private cloud infrastructure. The work includes designing flexible platforms and services compatible with leading providers while enabling safe integration with legacy systems. The engineer researches, evaluates, develops, and delivers technology in support of infrastructure deployment lifecycles, working directly with IT teams to advance PaaS, SaaS, hosted, and on-premises solutions that provide secure, resilient, on-demand cloud-like services and pursue cost reduction. The position is intended for a network engineering professional with deep traditional enterprise networking experience, particularly designing, implementing, and troubleshooting large-scale Cisco and/or Arista environments. Relevant network areas include routing, switching, network segmentation, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, high availability, and data center networking. Cloud networking experience is valuable, but the focus is enterprise network engineering and operations rather than cloud infrastructure, systems administration, or software development. The job description covers four classification levels. Placement depends on demonstrated knowledge, skills, experience, credentials, independence, assignment complexity, responsibility, and decision-making. Higher levels add primary engineering and strategy responsibilities, mentoring, automation, subject-matter expertise, cost optimization, project leadership, and advising management. The position includes on-call rotation support and may involve travel across the enterprise. Remote work may be considered case by case.
