This role provides vision, strategy, functionality, and technology solutions for creating and maintaining network platforms for public and private cloud infrastructure. The work includes designing flexible platforms that deliver features and services compatible with leading providers while safely supporting legacy systems. The position conducts technology research, evaluation, development, and delivery throughout infrastructure deployment lifecycles. The engineer works with Information Technology teams to advance the deployment of PaaS, SaaS, hosted, and on-premises subscriptions that provide flexible, secure, on-demand cloud-like services. Solutions should support resiliency and cost reduction while maintaining a highly secure and flexible environment. The role is intended for a hands-on network engineering professional with a strong enterprise networking foundation, including large-scale Cisco and/or Arista environments, routing, switching, network segmentation, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, high availability, and data center networking. Cloud networking experience is valuable, but the primary focus is enterprise network engineering and operations rather than cloud infrastructure, systems administration, or software development. The posting describes four classification levels, with increasing technical expertise, independence, scope, leadership, and mentoring responsibilities. New hires are placed at the level that best matches their experience, credentials, and skills. The role may require travel across the enterprise and on-call rotation support. Remote work may be possible on a case-by-case basis.
