About The Position

Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is seeking an IT Change Manager to be a subject matter expert on SRNL Processes. As a Change Manager, you will develop change management plans for key initiatives and will work collaboratively with project sponsors, project teams, and other stakeholders throughout the organization; both leading and executing the work of change management. The role develops a trusted advisor relationship with key stakeholders including business leadership, Executive Leadership, and other department professionals. Within this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing change and communication plans and strategies to facilitate the organizations digital transformation initiatives and the integration of evolving technologies across the enterprise. The selected individual will also monitor implementation of program policies and practices. Requirements

  • BS/BA + 10-12 years of change management or related experience in a complex organization required
  • Demonstrated experience with applied knowledge of contemporary change methodologies and facilitation techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills, good judgment, and ability to effectively interface with employees and leaders at all levels within the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to stakeholders, leaders, and partners.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions and teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically, identify creative solutions, and resolve conflicts.
  • US Citizenship is Legally Required for ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous DOE or National Laboratory Experience
  • Proven track record of leading through influence, building long-term relationships, and confidence in building vision, roadmaps, budgets, priorities, and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in ensuring IT projects (change initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage.
  • Focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures.
  • Create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.
  • Drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees.
  • Act as a coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them fulfill the role of change sponsor.
  • Provide direct support and coaching to all levels of managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.
  • Support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.
  • Develop change management strategies as required, incorporating change management approach, stakeholder management, communication, training and readiness assessments.
  • Manage daily change activities and provide guidance on the change management process.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board Meetings Planning, scheduling, managing and chairing CAB meetings. Includes creation of agenda’s and meeting minutes
  • Decide appropriate stakeholders for the CAB meetings
  • Select CRQ’s for review at CAB meetings, based on the change policy.
  • Circulate CRQ’s in advance of CAB meetings to allow prior consideration.
  • Select successful and failed changes for review at CAB meetings.
  • Review and audit changes for compliance with the ISTO’s Change Management Processes.
  • Coordinate interfaces between change management and other processes – especially service asset and configuration management and release and deployment management.
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders.
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities.
  • Develop and improve Key Performance Indicators and improve the metrics program by interpreting the data and recommending process improvements driving the appropriate organizational behaviors.
  • Collate Change records from multiple vendors and review for conflicts and collisions.
  • Create and implement training strategies.
  • Create and implement communication plan(s).
  • Prepare communication materials, including presentations and written communications identified within the communication plan(s).
  • Prepare ad hoc communication materials as required.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
