About The Position

BUILD Renewables is a nationwide engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company with a dedicated focus on utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems. The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's technology infrastructure, serving as the primary liaison with external IT service providers, and ensuring employees have the tools, systems, and support needed to work effectively. This role manages IT operations, user access, software licensing, collaboration platforms, onboarding and offboarding, system integrations, and supports the company's adoption of emerging technologies, including AI solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of IT administration, systems management, or IT operations experience.
  • Experience managing third-party IT service providers.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure Active Directory/Entra ID.
  • Experience with hardware deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and internet service coordination.
  • Experience managing software licensing and vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, or multi-site organizations is preferred.
  • Experience with AI productivity tools and business technology integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for the organization's managed IT service provider.
  • Coordinate and oversee IT support requests, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of issues.
  • Monitor service levels and maintain strong relationships with external technology vendors.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Coordinate procurement, deployment, maintenance, and replacement of company technology equipment, including laptops, tablets, printers, monitors, mobile devices, and other IT peripherals.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and lifecycle management.
  • Registration and oversight of devices with applicable Mobile Device Management systems.
  • Coordinate repairs, warranty claims, and equipment returns.
  • Coordinate internet service installation and support for corporate headquarters, temporary offices, and construction job sites.
  • Work with internet service providers and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Manage IT ticketing processes and provide first-level support when appropriate.
  • Coordinate issue resolution with the managed IT provider.
  • Support employees with hardware, software, and access-related issues.
  • Administer SharePoint sites and provide ongoing user support.
  • Create and manage SharePoint sites, document libraries, and permissions.
  • Set up Microsoft Teams channels and project collaboration spaces.
  • Maintain organizational standards for collaboration platforms.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions across business systems.
  • Provision and deprovision employee access during onboarding and offboarding.
  • Ensure appropriate security and access controls are maintained.
  • Coordinate all technology setup for new hires, including equipment deployment, account creation, software access, and email signatures.
  • Manage technology recovery and account deactivation during employee departures.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain integrations between enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HRIS, project management, and other business systems within the IT tech stack).
  • Monitor integration performance, troubleshooting issues, and resolve data flow or connectivity problems.
  • Manage integration platforms, APIs, middleware, and data synchronization processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and vendors to define integration requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all integrated systems.
  • Maintain integration documentation, architecture diagrams, and support procedures.
  • Evaluate new integration technologies and recommend improvements to increase automation, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes using AI technologies.
  • Support implementation and user adoption of AI tools.
  • Provide guidance and training on AI-enabled productivity solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies that improve organizational efficiency.
  • Manage software licensing, renewals, and compliance for company applications, including Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD, Microsoft 365, and other business software.
  • Track license utilization and recommend cost-effective licensing strategies.
