About The Position

Franz Family Bakery, founded in 1906, is a successful bakery employing over 4,000 people and distributing products across several western states. We are seeking an IT Business Systems Manager to join our team and take your career to the next level. This role involves owning the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and other assigned systems, ensuring their stability, performance, and alignment with business needs. You will be responsible for day-to-day system operations, issue resolution, and leading system delivery activities. The role also includes managing integrations, data management, and supporting business process implementation within system configurations. Additionally, you will supervise data analysts and collaborate closely with Business Analysts to ensure system alignment with business requirements. A key aspect of this role is identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, system optimization, and technical development. You will also coordinate with technical resources, business stakeholders, and external partners.

  • Extensive knowledge of various current technologies relevant to existing applications, systems and/or upcoming installations, e.g., Cloud Services, Cyber Security Tools, Virtualization, Voice/Data Networking, Device Management, and server technologies.
  • Skill in reading and interpreting technical and trade journals, industry specific periodicals, product/manufacturer specifications, and related technical information and data.
  • Ability to analyze, implement, maintain, and repair new technological software and programs.
  • Ability to evaluate, diagnose and develop solutions to potential and real operational and system deficiencies to ensure continued and non-disrupted services.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Information Technology preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations or major system upgrades.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform. (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps)
  • Knowledge of DevOps or release management practices.
  • Experience supporting data warehouse or reporting solutions.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory, team-lead, or project management role.

Responsibilities

  • Own the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and assigned systems.
  • Ensure systems remain stable, performant, and aligned with business needs.
  • Maintain system standards, configurations, and documentation.
  • Own day-to-day system operations, including monitoring system health, integrations, and job execution.
  • Identify, triage, and resolve issues across ERP, EDI, and data environments.
  • Ensure timely resolution of system and data-related issues to minimize business disruption.
  • Manage system support activities and escalations within the assigned domain.
  • Lead system delivery activities including configuration changes, testing support (unit testing and UAT coordination), deployment validation, and post-release stabilization.
  • Ensure all system changes are tested, validated, and aligned to business requirements.
  • Support change management processes and release governance.
  • Develop, maintain, and support system integrations including EDI platforms (Cleo Harmony, Lanham EDI), middleware, APIs, and data exchange frameworks.
  • Ensure accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data across systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data flow, synchronization, and integration issues.
  • Partner with Business Analysis to implement approved business processes within system configurations.
  • Translate validated requirements and To-Be process designs into scalable system solutions.
  • Identify and resolve gaps between system capabilities and defined business processes.
  • Manage data analysts' day-to-day duties and responsibilities.
  • Performance manage to company standards.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts to understand requirements and functional designs, ensure system configurations align with defined To-Be processes, support testing and validation activities, and provide technical insight to support feasibility, scalability, and system design decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, automation, and usability.
  • Reduce manual processes and operational overhead through system enhancements.
  • Support ongoing system optimization and technical debt reduction.
  • Design and optimize SQL Server objects including queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Support development and customization efforts using Visual Studio and extension frameworks.
  • Contribute to system enhancements involving automation, integrations, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with technical resources, business stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Provide guidance and direction on system-related activities within assigned domain.
  • Support vendor engagements related to ERP, EDI, and system integrations.
