About The Position

Trinity Industries is searching to fill the open position of IT Business Systems Analyst in our Dallas, Texas office. This role is ideal for a business systems professional who can balance day-to-day application support with strategic transformation work across supply chain and manufacturing systems. The IT Business Systems Analyst will serve as a member of IT’s business-facing team and will be responsible for supporting critical Infor-based business applications, contributing to the transition to Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Manufacturing (MFG), and driving continuous improvement across finance, accounting, supply chain, and manufacturing processes. This position will coordinate Finance, IT, vendors, and outsourced/managed services resources to ensure operational excellence, effective solution delivery, and business value throughout ongoing support and transformation initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or technical discipline required/MBA HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • 5+ years of experience supporting ERP, supply chain, manufacturing, or related enterprise business systems in a production support and project delivery environment, business process design experience, focusing on process improvement
  • Functional knowledge and project experience supporting Infor applications or other enterprise financial, supply chain, or manufacturing systems; experience supporting or implementing Oracle Cloud SCM/MFG solutions is highly preferred; exposure to EAM is a plus
  • Working knowledge of application lifecycle management, including production support, issue triage, patching, upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement
  • Agile user stories creation
  • Solid consultative and relationship-building skills
  • Working knowledge of organizational change implications on system functionality
  • Business case/benefits case development expertise
  • Experience with business processes and reporting across one or more of the following areas: supply chain, manufacturing, inventory, costing, general ledger, accounts payable, or accounts receivable
  • Strong understanding of business processes, controls, and best practices related to inventory, manufacturing, and financial operations
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and general audit requirements
  • Travel: 10%25 or less

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish desired to enhance communications with business units in Mexico
  • Prior experience supporting ERP modernization, migration, or deployment initiatives, including transitions from legacy platforms to cloud-based solutions such as Oracle Cloud SCM/MFG
  • External, customer-facing, business consulting experience

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to define future-state processes and requirements that improve supply chain, manufacturing, finance, and accounting operations
  • Uncover needs that business partners and end users would not be able to articulate on their own
  • Provide functional support for Infor and related business applications, including issue analysis, enhancement recommendations, release coordination, and user support
  • Develop business cases and communicate the operational value, risks, and expected outcomes of system enhancements, support initiatives, and transformation projects
  • Support project scoping and delivery planning by estimating effort, identifying dependencies, and coordinating work across internal teams, vendors, and managed services partners
  • Create solutions to advance enterprise architectural objectives, including an understanding of the dependencies between the layers of the technology stack: compute, data, transactional, and analytics
  • Design for Usability: Collaborate on designing solutions for end-user adoption and productivity improvement
  • Manage or contribute to workstreams across the full solution lifecycle using Agile/Scrum methods, from discovery and design through testing, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Communications and Change Leadership: Communicate effectively across multiple constituencies to support project and organizational change objectives
  • Support Oracle Cloud SCM/MFG migration efforts by helping document current-state processes, validating requirements, coordinating testing, and assisting with cutover and stabilization planning.
  • Engage business sponsors and contribute to their targeted business outcomes
  • Build long-term relationships between multiple business partners to drive engagement in IT strategy
  • Partner with technical teams, integration resources, and vendors to support solution quality, issue resolution, and successful delivery of enhancements and migration activities.
