The Business Analyst plays a central role between business teams and IT team to ensure alignment of capabilities delivered by the information technology team to the needs of the business. Provides support from initiation to the time where benefits of business cases are realized, and serves as a “translator” between business and IT. Regularly works with problems or initiatives to achieve clearly defined requirements, bridge gaps where information is limited and/or complex. Requires to maintain respectful and collaborative working relationships with WCB employees at all levels through integrity, influential leadership, diplomatic and tactful communications. The Business Analyst assists with the analysis, preparation and documentation of business cases for technology solutions. Collaborates with stakeholders to document requirements, provides clarification on questions related to systems / sub-systems and process requirements. Performs testing of information system modules, sub-systems and technology solutions. Collaborates with business to develop user acceptance testing plan and ensure to execute them as per the stated objectives. Plan and deliver training to ensure smooth transition. Develops methods to track and report business case benefits realization metrics along the project lifecycle implementation.
