About The Position

As an IT Business Analyst, you will be a member of the Frontline IT organization supporting PPG's Traffic Solutions team. You will interact daily with our users globally, address business issues through the appropriate application of new or existing technology and address & resolve user issues. This position is located in our office in Greensboro, North Carolina headquarters - we offer a hybrid work model. You will report to the IT Manager.

Requirements

  • A four year degree or higher in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of IT or a related discipline experience
  • Prior experience supporting and/or implementing SAP for a manufacturing organization is required.
  • Strong Analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing
  • Must have a strong systems and process orientation
  • Track record of participation on IT project teams
  • Must be comfortable working remotely using primarily virtual means of collaborating with colleagues and managers
  • Highly motivated with a commitment to delivering high quality work in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Possess the ability and desire to foster the development of junior team members

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience supporting manufacturing systems and integrations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to rapidly assimilate assigned business area's products and processes
  • Knowledge and experience in gathering requirements, functional design, testing and working with business processes
  • Understanding of how IT effects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processes
  • Technical skills to support user requests independently with standard tools if available
  • Networks with other PPG Analysts to understand how IT solutions are deployed in other areas to solve business problems
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to learn quickly to develop effective working relationships across a diverse team of functional, technical, and business partners
  • Possess strong problem solving skills
  • Strong business relationships with business and technical teams within assigned area
  • Ability to support software delivery as needed with product manager interactions, specifications and user stories development as needed
  • Ability to support test plan development and change management activities as needed
  • Project Management Skills - ability to lead and deliver small projects independently.
  • Knowledge and experience with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile)
  • Ability to support and document enhancements for ERP systems (i.e. SAP)
  • Ability to support manufacturing execution systems (MES)
  • Technical skills to support minor user requests such as ad-hoc reports, data extraction, etc.
