About The Position

Alamo Group Inc. is seeking an IT Business Analyst to join its Corporate Headquarters in Winn, Michigan at the Morbark location. This role is crucial for connecting business stakeholders, processes, and technology to foster organizational improvement. The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding business needs, translating requirements into actionable solutions, and supporting major technology initiatives, thereby enabling efficiency and innovation by bridging the gap between technical teams and business objectives.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business requirements.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, IIoT, and MES systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Competency in using data visualization and reporting tools to support decision-making.
  • Problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit and model Alamo Group’s Core Competencies: Leading Change / Change Management, Leading People / Teamwork, Communication, Business Acumen, and Results Driven.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent are desirable.
  • Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or SAFe frameworks if preferred.
  • Exposure to IIoT, cloud platforms, or data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and user stories.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Support major initiatives including: ERP modernization and cloud migration, CRM/customer portal implementations, IIoT and connected equipment programs, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) enhancements, and Product configuration and order to delivery improvements.
  • Collaborate with project managers to help define scope, timelines, and milestones.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing and support rollout and adoption efforts.
  • Work with data teams to define reporting requirements and validate data.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and business functions to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams, facilitate meetings, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project outcomes and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
