About The Position

Overview Piston Automotive is seeking an IT Business Analyst - ERP for our Redford, MI Corporate Office. The IT Business Analyst - ERP is responsible as the first line of contact for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) related support concerns. This position reports to the IT Director of Manufacturing Systems. This individual will serve as the business process and technical software expert for our corporate resources and across all production facilities. Some travel—roughly 20%-- is anticipated to review plant processes and to meet coworkers. The position serves as the subject matter expert for ERP-related processes such as inventory management, material shipping & receiving, financial tracking & reporting, accounting & supply chain management. Requirements

  • An Associate Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred)
  • Two (2) years of experience Plex (ERP) experience is required.
  • Detailed familiarity with labeling, scanning, inventory, shipments, financials, materials, integration, etc.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the design, development, deployment and support of IT systems in the automotive industry
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Automotive industry experience is required
  • Different Build processes: Batch, Broadcast & Sequenced (ILVS)
  • MES integration with ERP systems
  • Bill of Materials, piece price management, component-based releases
  • Component & Lot Traceability & Quality requirements & processes
  • Managing Releases, Purchase orders, Invoices

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with shipping to Ford, Stellantis, GM & Honda highly preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel highly preferred
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) support experience highly preferred
  • Experience with Plex Classic and Plex UX and transition (Classic to Plex)
  • Experience supporting IATF, ISO & Cybersecurity Audits

Responsibilities

  • Provide Technical support for Operations for ERP-related processes.
  • Ensure all ERP related initiatives stay on-schedule and on-budget.
  • Developing and maintaining relevant system and process documentation for both existing and proposed processes.
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers, and Information Technology executives to drive the application systems or technical services processes.
  • Ability to train and coach coworkers on ERP software & processes
  • Ability to collaborate with other technical and non-technical resources
  • Ability to develop and execute software Test Plans
  • Managing user privileges
  • Vendor management collaboration on software development projects
  • On Call responsibilities including off hour regarding troubleshooting for Plant level
