About The Position

State Street is seeking a user/client-facing Business System Analyst to work within a collaborative, team-driven environment. This role focuses on business demand analysis and solution design, collaborating with the IT development team throughout the entire project lifecycle from brainstorming to production. The position requires solid financial knowledge, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and good time management. This role is based in Boston, MA, USA, and will interact with State Street clients and business users globally.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years’ experience of analyst role, driving software development projects/agile rooms, financial or data research industry.
  • Major in Financial or IT related, or both.
  • Fluent verbal & written English communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of software development.
  • Profound knowledge of financial products.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Team player; detail oriented and self-motivated to drive work to proceed with minimal supervision.
  • Multiple tasking ability; good time organizational skills to manage project priorities.
  • Enthusiasm in work with good self-learning ability.
  • Good tech skills; database tools/SQL.

Nice To Haves

  • Participation in agile development working model.
  • CFA certified.
  • Experience in working on Platforms such as Murex/Global One/Summit/Calypso and similar products.

Responsibilities

  • Work with external clients and internal business users to gather and understand user demands.
  • Analyze and explore business workflows and possible business scenarios; review and evaluate existing business models and future processes or solutions.
  • Accomplish BA relevant artifacts (e.g., functional specifications, user stories, wireframe models/data mapping, user guides) to accurately capture user and system requirements.
  • Identify, solve, or escalate potential issues and risks during development lifecycles.
  • Collaborate with other roles/teams to deliver consistent and timely results with high quality.
  • Establish and maintain strong network relationships with internal/external counterparties.
  • Organize and drive meetings.
  • Participate in agile development teams as the Product Owner/Business Analyst role.
