IT/ AV Technician
About The Position
Applied Materials is seeking an IT/AV Technician to support its Executive Briefing Center (EBC) in Santa Clara. The technician will provide customer-focused support to executives, including directors, vice presidents, and C-level leaders, and assist with conference rooms and the setup and management of devices. The role is suited to someone early in their career who is eager to learn and develop their audiovisual skills on the job. A proactive approach is essential: the technician is expected to prepare rooms in advance, test wireless and HDMI connections, print guest wireless passes, and seek out additional tasks when there is downtime. Day-to-day work involves minimal hand-holding or task direction. Executives contact the team through Microsoft Teams or Outlook email; the team does not use a ticketing system. Crestron is used for AV hardware. This is a contract role based fully onsite in Santa Clara, California. The listed pay range is $35.00–$40.00 per hour. Requirements
- Customer service experience and skills.
- Desktop troubleshooting skills.
- Audiovisual exposure or skills, with willingness to learn the AV side on the job.
- Microsoft Teams support skills.
- Video conferencing support skills.
- Wireless support skills.
- Some prior exposure to working with executives.
- A proactive approach, including working independently with minimal day-to-day hand-holding or task direction.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to Applied Materials executives, including directors, vice presidents, and C-level leaders.
- Support conference rooms and set up and manage devices.
- Proactively prepare the EBC by testing room wireless and HDMI connections and printing guest wireless passes.
- When downtime permits, ask team leads where additional support is needed.
