About The Position

This role offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in information systems auditing within Royal's Audit Services Department. The intern will assist with technology-driven projects, help ensure data integrity and compliance, and grow professionally in a values-driven organization. The position requires commitment to a full 12 months, enrollment in a university throughout the internship, and the ability to work onsite at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI. Applicants must be located in the Eau Claire/Chippewa Valley Area and include a resume, cover letter, transcript, and anticipated graduation date.

Requirements

  • Enrolled at a university throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in a major or minor related to Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics or related field.
  • Must be bondable upon hire
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused mindset
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Must be located in the Eau Claire/Chippewa Valley Area
  • Must be able to commit to the full 12 months

  • Must be able to work onsite at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI, throughout the school year and during breaks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform or assist in audits with a focus on technology, security, and data integrity in accordance with professional standards.
  • Assist in the implementation of technology-driven projects within the department.
  • Conducting audits focused on information systems, security, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Evaluating internal controls and prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Assisting in preparing for external audits and maintaining organized audit documentation.
  • Analyzing continuous monitoring reports and following up on previous audit recommendations.
  • Supporting departmental administrative functions and contributing to innovation and process improvements.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $19.77 - 23.81 per hour
