About The Position

The IT Asset Support Technician supports the client’s Base Custodian by organizing and properly maintaining the client-wide inventory, including all warehouse IT equipment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a specific major, in accordance with client requirements.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ (Security Plus) certification (or higher-level DoD 8570/8140-compliant baseline certification in the Information Assurance Technician category), demonstrating foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and controls.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inventory support to directorates for approximately 9,000 items within DPAS.
  • Ensure all accountable IT items are accepted on another EC account prior to release (approximately 3–6 times daily).
  • Dispose of all packing and waste material in accordance with applicable guidance (approximately 4–6 pallets per month).
  • Dispose of all hardware and software products using processes and checklists that comply with applicable Government policies.
  • Conduct an annual 100% inventory and a monthly inventory of 10% of all trackable assets in accordance with applicable policies and laws.
  • Account for all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) provided to the workforce in accordance with the inventory reporting requirements described herein.
  • Ensure proper accountability for all GFE transitioning within the IT support areas of operation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
