Requirements

  • Associate degree in business or related field, along with at least 2 years’ experience
  • Non-degree considered if 6+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
  • Occasional travel (0-5%)

Nice To Haves

  • Possess a technical understanding of the Company’s software installations, an understanding of licensing terminologies, and an understanding of executed software license agreements
  • Direct work experience in a license or hardware management capacity
  • Experience in research and analysis (business case analysis).
  • Excellent reporting and data analysis skills
  • Familiarity with Company and industry standards such as ISO/IEC 19770 and/or ITAM

Responsibilities

  • Work with IT Management to create and issue Requests for Quotes.
  • Evaluate the proposed licensing agreements (e.g. EULA) for suitability when purchasing software.
  • Under the guidelines of the Company’s Purchasing Department, issue purchase orders to selected vendors.
  • Based on continuous review and analysis, recommend future year purchasing strategies that include potential cost savings opportunities and/or reduce compliance risk and exposure to licensure risk.
  • Perform software/hardware quantity analysis to ensure proper inventory is maintained.
  • Finalize all agreements and summarize for management approval.
  • Validate all assets (hardware, software, telecom, network, internet domains etc.) purchased and managed by IT are accurately tracked.
  • Manage cellular service plans, features early termination fee (ETF) waivers to ensure optimum spend.
  • Review all inventory and audit reports and make recommendations on changes in spend.
  • Perform routine audits for management review of assigned software, hardware, and mobile services to ensure compliance and utilization.
  • Research license entitlements from a variety of vendors, including reviewing purchase documentation.
  • Assess the utilization of software applications to determine the most efficient and cost-effective license.
  • Report and resolve when able all exceptions to the Company’s software/hardware asset management policies.
  • Provide monthly budgetary reporting for software, hardware, and mobile service plans.
  • Coordinate monthly cell usage reports to branches and remote manufacturing, answer questions, and adjust as necessary.
