About The Position

The IT Asset Management Administrator is responsible for managing the organization's technology assets throughout their lifecycle, including hardware inventory, software licensing, and mobile device administration. This role ensures accurate asset tracking, software license compliance, secure mobile device management, and efficient deployment of technology resources to support business operations. The position works closely with IT support, cybersecurity, procurement, and business stakeholders to maintain accurate records, optimize technology investments, and enforce IT policies. The responsibilities align organizational requirements for maintaining hardware inventories, software licensing controls, and mobile device management.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT asset management, software licensing, endpoint administration, or a related role.
  • Experience with inventory and asset management systems.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Intune, Jamf, Workspace ONE, or similar MDM solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 licensing and software asset management practices.
  • Proficiency with Excel and reporting tools.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of AI tools, systems, and methods to design, implement, and optimize solutions that enhance organizational performance.

Nice To Haves

  • IT Asset Management (ITAM) certification.
  • Microsoft Intune or Endpoint Administrator certification.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, InvGate, or other ITSM platforms.
  • Understanding of software audit and compliance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT hardware, including laptops, desktops, monitors, peripherals, mobile devices, and accessories.
  • Track assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement and deployment to retirement and disposal.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Coordinate hardware refresh programs and warranty tracking.
  • Manage asset tagging, documentation, and reporting.
  • Administer software licensing programs and subscription services.
  • Maintain records of software entitlements, renewals, and usage.
  • Monitor compliance with software licensing agreements and vendor requirements.
  • Work with procurement and finance teams on software purchases and renewals.
  • Generate reports on software utilization and licensing costs to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Manage the organization's Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform.
  • Configure, deploy, secure, and support company-issued smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
  • Administer device enrollment, security policies, application deployment, and remote wipe capabilities.
  • Monitor compliance with security and data protection standards.
  • Support users with mobile device setup, troubleshooting, and lifecycle replacements.
  • Develop and maintain asset management procedures and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits related to IT assets and software licensing.
  • Ensure adherence to information security, data protection, and acceptable use policies.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies related to information security, privacy, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance, including completion of required training and protection of confidential information.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to identify and remediate risks related to hardware, software, and mobile devices.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports related to asset inventory, license utilization, device compliance, and technology costs.
  • Provide recommendations for asset optimization, standardization, and cost savings.
  • Forecast hardware replacement cycles and software renewal requirements.
