Requirements

  • 5+ years in IT operations or asset management, with 2+ years of experience leading technical teams or system administrators.
  • Deep familiarity with ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, or Ivanti).
  • Strong understanding of endpoint administration (e.g., Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, MDM tools like Intune or Tanium).
  • Proven experience managing budgets, reviewing quotes, and processing PO approvals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with vendors, lead technical staff, and report to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor System Administrators, managing performance goals, training, and daily workloads.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical support issues and endpoint troubleshooting.
  • Enforce endpoint security policies, ensuring all user devices are properly patched and compliant.
  • Govern system administration workflows, including onboarding, offboarding, and identity access management.
  • Approve Purchase Orders (POs) for IT hardware, software licenses, and peripherals within budget.
  • Manage the equipment refresh process, creating standard schedules for laptop, desktop, and mobile upgrades.
  • Maintain the IT Asset Management (ITAM) database, ensuring exact tracking of inventory from procurement to disposal.
  • Manage relationships with hardware vendors, software publishers, and leasing partners.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for asset deployment, refresh cycles, and device disposal.
  • Analyze operational metrics to improve team response times and asset efficiency.
