About The Position

The IT Asset & Configuration Management Analyst 3 is a highly experienced individual contributor responsible for leading and advancing Choice’s IT Asset Management (ITAM) and IT Configuration Management (ITCM) practices. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and governance of IT asset and configuration data across the enterprise, supporting operational effectiveness, audit readiness, and service reliability. Working with general guidance, the analyst independently manages complex assignments, identifies systemic issues, and drives process improvements across the asset and configuration lifecycle. The role partners closely with ITSM, ITOM, Engineering, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure consistent execution of asset and configuration management standards.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in IT Asset Management, Configuration Management, or related IT Service Management roles, performing moderately complex work with a high degree of independence.
• Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow ITAM, ITSM, and/or ITOM modules preferred.
• Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management, CMDB structures, and ITIL practices.
• Experience with asset reconciliation, reporting, and audit support.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Ability to work independently on complex assignments with minimal supervision.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
• Adaptability to new tools, processes, and technologies.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle management for IT hardware, software, and cloud assets from acquisition through retirement.
• Maintain asset data accuracy and consistency across ITAM tools, CMDB, and integrated systems such as procurement and finance platforms.
• Perform inventory reconciliations, analyze variances, and escalate discrepancies while supporting root cause analysis.
• Support internal and external audits by gathering required asset data, documentation, and evidence.
• Drive continuous improvements to asset lifecycle processes, including procurement, deployment, tracking, and retirement.
• Develop and maintain executive‑ready asset reports, dashboards, and audit deliverables.
• Maintain CMDB data quality, including CI creation, updates, and relationship mapping in accordance with defined standards.
• Proactively monitor CMDB health, establish data quality thresholds, and lead remediation of integrity issues.
• Review and approve CI updates associated with Change Enablement, Discovery, and operational activities.
• Partner with ITSM, ITOM, and Engineering teams to improve CI lifecycle management and dependency mapping.
• Track and report on CMDB KPIs related to data quality, completeness, and accuracy.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of ITAM and ITCM policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
• Support compliance with IT governance, risk, and audit requirements, including security and SOX‑related controls.
• Prepare audit documentation and participate in walkthroughs with internal and external auditors.
• Identify control gaps and recommend enhancements to strengthen compliance and process effectiveness.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to asset and configuration management.
• Support implementation and enhancement of ServiceNow ITAM, ITSM, and CMDB capabilities.
• Contribute to documentation, knowledge articles, and process guides.
• Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to IT teams and stakeholders as needed.
